A cubist type approach to a straightforward beach scene i.e. no curves only straight lines. A lot of masking out was involved using removable adhesive film. This was pressed down hard with a small roller to prevent leakage at the edges to keep them sharp. Light areas in the sky were achieved by masking them out, thoroughly wetting the area with a brush to disturb the colour and drying with a tissue.
