A sketchbook drawing from a photograph I took of Dartmouth Harbour at low tide. Distance was limited by the quayside buildings and the harbour wall. The buildings were in heavy shadow and the roadway with the figures were in strong sunlight. Building details were not over emphasised to preserve a sense of distance
